THE DRIP GUIDE
Faux studs, picked right
Size, finish and sets: what to look at before you choose.
Do I need pierced ears?
No. The front and the magnetic back sit on opposite sides of your earlobe and nothing goes through it. Place the front on the outside of your earlobe and the back behind it, then adjust until it sits where you like. Earlobe thickness changes how a magnetic stud feels, so start with a short wear period.
Which size should I pick?
The size in each listing is the diameter of the stone or face. 6mm is closest to a classic small stud; 8mm reads bolder, and Round Disc goes up to 10mm and 12mm. Mark the size on a ruler to see it before you choose.
Steel, black or gold?
Match the earring to the metal you already wear. Steel goes with silver chains and watches, gold and rose gold with gold chains, and black with dark outfits or when you want the stone to stand out.
Why buy a set?
Sets put two to eight pairs in different colors in one box, so you can switch with your outfit. Each pair works on its own. Choose from Round Disc (2 or 5 pairs), Classic Ice (4 colors), Four-Point Star (4 pairs), Color Ice (3 or 8 pairs), Color Halo (3 or 6 pairs) and 6mm Color CZ (3 pairs).
How do I look after them?
Remove before sleeping, showering, swimming or exercise. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear, keep away from perfume, lotion and chlorine, and store pairs separately so stones don't scratch. Sterling silver can darken with time; wipe it with a silver cloth and keep it in a closed pouch.
